WORD. On every single one.
WORD. On every single one.
Shakespeare: Close up this den of hateful, dire decay! Decomposition of your witches’ plot! You thieve my brains, consider me your toy. My doting Doctor tells me I am not!
Lilith: No! Words of power!
Shakespeare: Foul Carrionite spectres, cease your show! Between the points… (looks to the Doctor)
The Doctor: 7-6-1-3-9-0!
Shakespeare: 7-6-1-3-9-0! And banished like a tinker’s cuss, I say to thee… (looks to the Doctor again.)
The Doctor: Ahh… (The Doctor looks to Martha.)
The Doctor: Expelliarmus!
The Doctor: Good old JK!
#These three quotes are impressively indicative of the Doctor’s personality in each incarnation #Nine was cold and broken from the war always seeing the worst and blaming the ‘stupid apes’ #until Rose came along and started to fix him - started to make him better and showed him how fantastic everything actually was #And most importantly that he’s not this horrible person who committed genocide and killed his whole planet and people #He did what he had to do and despite it all you know what? he was fantastic. #Ten on the other hand - so incredibly human #He felt everything on such a deeper emotional level than any of his previous incarnations #‘the one adventure i can never have’ with the one person he was essentially made for (and because of) #He’s probably the only version who has ever or will ever want the potential of that adventure #And finally Eleven #Eleven who was born out of Ten’s despair and his ‘I dont want to go’ #Whose levels of self-hatred are so high that he locked himself and Amy and Rory in a dream state just to essentially kill himself #Who opened Door 11 in the hotel and said ‘who else?’ #He doesn’t let anyone close anymore - even Amy - and hides behind his childish exterior and ‘bowties are cool’ distractions #He knows the only one he will have left is the TARDIS #Amy and Rory are married and he’s already seen the death of River Song #Eleven is definitely a madman with the only companion he has left - his blue box #ugh my fucking heart #WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
My mind blew up, it’s such a casual time. But not. Not casual at all. ‘Cause this is Doctor FRICKIN’ Who we’re talking about. Yeah, so. Still.
Mind = Blown
AND, if you think about it, how exactly does one move forward with the show now? And I don’t mean viewers and fans. I mean the writers and everyone else working on the show. Because the depths of character and emotion that have been covered and delved into in the past six series, it’s just…woah. A lot. Of. Depth. Especially when reading through puzzleofshards‘ tags. Seriously, damn. I mean, don’t get me wrong. Steve Moffat can totally do it. I have faith. I beleive.
I guess really what my mind is working towards is: I wonder what will happen next?? What will be done, not only on the written level, the creative and behind the scenes level, but also the acting level? What new emotions and character traits will be brought forth next from the Doctor? What will be written is of great importance, but how the written word is brought alive on screen is just as important.
So, Steve, and Matt, and everybody else: what have you got for us now?
I’m sure he will. He always does.
Totally sang this.
The Doctor’s words….
Love. And…bow ties are cool.
